Unlocking seasonal events on Uber Eats
At Uber Eats we wanted to develop a framework to showcase new verticals through seasonal moments and special occasions. This included holidays and events like Valentine’s Day, Mother’s Day, Halloween, etc. The goal was to inspire new use cases for grocery, alcohol, and retail shopping.
Making a splash
I designed a new header component that showcased various holidays and occasions, giving the app a themed look and feel while giving it a dose of surprise and delight.
Adding surprise and delight
Animating the header illustrations make each seasonal moment feel extra special while encouraging engagement.
The Landing Experience
On the seasonal event page, the user can shop for a wide variety of items specific to the occasion from flowers and chocolates to dinner and dessert.
NFL Superbowl
The framework was also extended to the NFL 2025 Superbowl which prominently featured top deals.
